Pre Olympia Show Winter Woolies 2009/10
NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds. This show is affiliated to
the National Pony Society. The NPS classes will be run under NPS Rules.
All ponies entered in these Championships must be 4 years old or over
and registered in the Pure Bred section of their Mountain and Moorland
Breed Society’s Stud Book, part breeds are not eligible. Owners
do not have to be members of the NPS for their ponies to enter these
classes but they will need to become Adult Showing members of the NPS
to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival which will be held on
24th April 2010. All riders’ ages are as at 1st January in the
current year. Riders of small stallions must be 11 years or over,
riders of large stallions must be 14 years or over. In each class the
three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first
six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2009/10 Novice Winter
Championships will not debar Novice ponies from the NPS 2010 Mountain
and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions.
This show is a
qualifier for the 2010 P(UK) Winter Championship Shows. The 1st, 2nd
& 3rd in each qualifying class will qualify. Competitors in
qualifying positions, who are not current members and register their
horses/ponies in order for the qualification to remain valid. No
qualification cards will be awarded in the ring.
HORSES ARE DANGEROUS All persons entering the showground do so at their own risk
Entries Close 9am Monday before the Competition. Entries received after
the closing date will be charged late entry fee. Entries £10 per
class. Numbers are limited Late entries £5.00 extra per class.

Class 10 NPS / HIRSTMUND STUD
M&M PURE NOVICE RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP – large breeds
This Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings four years
old or over which must be registered in the main body of their
respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Book Connemara, Dales, Fells,
Highlands, New Forest and Welsh Section C & D Pony not to have been
placed first in any Ridden Mountain & Moorland Class prior to the
commencement of the current Winter Series. All ponies in this class
must be shown in a snaffle bridle.

shown in a snaffle bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband
only.NPS/CHECKLEYBANK M&M NOVICE LEADING REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP
This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over
which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain
and Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and
Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. Pony not to have
won a first prize of £10 or more in any Leading Rein class. To be
shown in a suitable snaffle bridle, the leading rein must be attached
to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the
rider’s hands. Riders must have attained their 3rd but not have
attained their 9th birthday (riders’ ages are as at 1st January
in the current year).

B. Not exceeding 122cms. To be led by an attendant and

individual show. To be shown in a suitable bridle. Not to have won a

Ridden Mountain & Moorland Championship 1st & 2nd in classes 9 –-16.
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Please Read
Entries £10 per class. Numbers are limited. (Entries for classes
4-7 £7.00 late entry £10.00) Late entries £5.00 extra
per class. Closing date 9am Monday before event.
1. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that the organisers, the
Landowner, and his agents shall not be held responsible for any loss,
injury, or damage to competitors, onlookers, their property, servants,
or horses/ ponies, howsoever caused at East Soley E.C. 2000
2. In all cases the judges decision is final, East Soley reserves the
right to refuse or cancel any entries without any reason for doing so.
Whenever under this Regulation an entry is refused or an exhibit is
refused admission or removed, the fees paid may at the discretion of
East Soley be refunded.
3. SORRY - NO DOGS ALLOWED.
4. No refund of entry fees will be made.
5. The organisers reserve the right to cancel the show, alter classes,
judges, times or any of the published information. In the event of
cancellation, entry fees will be refunded less £2.00 to cover
administration costs.
6. Ridden horses and ponies must be 4 years old and over.
7. No mucking out of Lorries - Please take your rubbish home with you. Thank you.
