Winter Woolies 2008/9
NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds. This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society. The NPS classes will be run under NPS Rules. All ponies entered in these Championships must be 4 years old or over and registered in the Pure Bred section of their Mountain and Moorland Breed Society’s Stud Book, part breeds are not eligible. Owners do not have to be members of the NPS for their ponies to enter these classes but they will need to become Adult Showing members of the NPS to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival which will be held on 26th April 2009.All riders’ ages are as at 1st January in the current year. Riders of small stallions must be 11 years or over, riders of large stallions must be 14 years or over. In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2008/9 Novice Winter Championships will not debar Novice ponies from the NPS 2009 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. 2008/9 P(UK) National Winter Championships. Finale to be held at Towerlands, Braintree, Essex, from 30th March- 1st April 2009. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified within the first six places will receive a “Registration of Qualification” Certificate in the ring. The two highest placed animals in the first six not already qualified will qualify. To validate your qualification, competitors are required to: Step 1 – Register your qualfication within 14 days with Ponies (UK) Send this “Registration of Qualification” Certificate plus £10.00 Plus 2009 Full Membership (if not already submitted) Please send to the Ponies (UK) office within 14 days in order for the qualification to remain valid. Step 2 – Declare your intention to enter the Winter Championships Forward Declaration of Entry and a fee of £15 per entry to be submitted on the P(UK) Winter Championships Entry Form to confirm participation in the Championship

Shetland, New Forest, and Welsh A or B. Riders not to have attained their 9th
Birthday before1st Jan in current yr. To be led by an attendant & shown in a
snaffle bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.NPS/CHECKLEYBANK M&M NOVICE LEADING REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This
Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over which
must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and
Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh
Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. Pony not to have won a
first prize of £10 or more in any Leading Rein class. To be shown
in a suitable snaffle bridle, the leading rein must be attached to the
noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the
rider’s hands. Riders must have attained their 3rd but not have
attained their 9th birthday (riders’ ages are as at 1st January
in the current year).
Class 12 1.30 pm NPS / T.C. TACK & THINGS M&M LEADING REIN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over, which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. To be led by an attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle, the leading rein to be attached to the noseband only. Ponies not to exceed 128cms and must be registered in the respective purebred Society Stud Books of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A or B. Riders not to have attained their 12th Birthday before 1st January in the current year. Any suitable bridle acceptable NPS/CWMBACHSTEL DION M&M NOVICE FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Pony Mare or Gelding, 4 yrs old and over, not exceeding 128cms, registered in the Pure Bred Section of the Breed Societies Stud Book of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh section A or B. Riders must have attained their 3rdbirthday but must not have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Ponies must not be cantered apart from the individual show. To be shown in a suitable bridle. Not to have won a first prize of £10 or more in any First Ridden classification.

NPS M&M FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP Pony Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms, registered in the pure Bred Section of the Breed Societies Stud Book of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh section A or B. Any suitable bridle acceptable. Riders must have attained their 3rd b’day but must not have attained their 12th b’day before 1st Jan in the current yr.

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entries £10 per class. Numbers are limited. (Entries for classes 4-7 £7.00 late
entry £10.00) Late entries £5.00 extra per class. Closing date 9am Monday before
event.
1. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that the organisers, the Landowner,
and his agents shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to
competitors, onlookers, their property, servants, or horses/ ponies, howsoever
caused at East Soley E.C. 2000
2. In all cases the judges decision is final, East Soley reserves the right to
refuse or cancel any entries without any reason for doing so. Whenever under
this Regulation an entry is refused or an exhibit is refused admission or
removed, the fees paid may at the discretion of East Soley be refunded.
3. SORRY - NO DOGS ALLOWED.
4. No refund of entry fees will be made.
5. The organisers reserve the right to cancel the show, alter classes, judges,
times or any of the published information. In the event of cancellation, entry
fees will be refunded less £2.00 to cover administration costs.
6. Ridden horses and ponies must be 4 years old and over.
7. No mucking out of Lorries - Please take your rubbish home with you. Thank
