Lightweight pilch made using a front arch plate for the tree, the rest of the saddle is treeless. Ideal for younger riders to start their side saddle career, the saddle is a large one and will fit 13.2 upwards. You can choose traditional flap or show flap on the off side. This large Pilch has 16" seat. These saddles are designed for children and are not recommended for Adults or for jumping.

The Thorowgood safari cub is an excellent first saddle for any budding little rider. Designed to be used only for 'sitting' on a horse as opposed to correct riding, the safari cub offers comfort and security to both horse and rider. The safari cub is suitable for children up to approximately the age of 5, an has adjustable panels to suit most small ponies backs. A handle at the front offers rider security, and a dressage girth is often the best short girth to use to secure the saddle. The Thorowgood safari cub has bars to accept stirrup leathers and is made from easy to care for synthetic materials.
